Nannie Hawkins Car Seat April 10th, 2019 - 02:15:29
Babies should be in a rearward facing car seat and should not be placed in a forward-facing seat until they weigh at least 9 kgs and can sit up unaided. Babies should be kept in a rearward-facing seat for as long as possible. Once your child is above the maximum weight for a rearward-facing seat or the top of their head is above the top of the seat they should be moved into a forward-facing seat. It is not important if their knees are bent in the seat, provided they are still within the seat's weight range.
The car seat you buy will depend upon the height, weight and age of your child. Your baby will go through different stages that require different types of car seats. Don't trade up to the next stage too quickly. It is important to keep your child in a rear-facing car seat for as long as you can.
It's easy to get bored of the car seat covers that you and your family or passengers sit on daily. Perhaps you can take this boredom with the covers as a sign to get your car a new set of covers. Most car owners would ask themselves and eventually other car owners this question regarding car covers however: when is the right time to get new covers? The answer is that one can buy these extra sets of auto seat covers at any time though they should take some considerations in mind such as those mentioned and briefly discussed here.
There are 2 kinds of rear-facing car seats. There are infant-only seats and convertible seats. Infant car seats are small and have a handle for carrying the seat. Many of these come with a stroller system that the seat can snap into. Infant car seats can not be installed front-facing. Infant car seats can only be used for up to 22 to 30 pounds depending on the seat. Each manufacture is different, so be sure to check their specifications. They are more commonly used for infants, because they can be used as a carrier also. The baby can be set in them in the grocery store, doctors office or where ever you go. Make sure to keep your baby strapped in at all times, to prevent them from slipping out.
After the infant stage, the toddler and above stage can be in a forward-facing unit or convertible, for those that only want to buy one product that will last for several years. Many parents choose the ones that can also be used in a travel system like with strollers and extra stay-in-car bases. This makes traveling with a baby much more convenient for the whole family.
